Summary
Touchstone Group covers a wide variety of IT services including business management software and solutions, ERP, CRM, financial management and Procurement meaning they store and manage a huge amount of highly confidential data. With such risks to their partners, Touchstone Group needed to find an outsource cyber security consultancy who could cover a wide variety of networks. Mondas have set up vulnerability scanning and management tools, an SOC and SIEM and secured the network against potential breaches.
The Challenge
With an evolving business, Touchstone Group took proactive steps to exceed the minimum thresholds for data security their customers required in order to renew existing contracts and secure new business. A security breach within their infrastructure could damage their reputation as a secure partner but also potentially put their customers’ data at risk.
As part of a wider business initiative to offer confidence to their customers, Touchstone Group recognised the importance of a proactive approach to cyber security and needed a dedicated partner to provide a boost to their protective measures.
The Solution
Mondas were appointed to deploy a comprehensive MDR service that encompasses SIEM and EDR. Mondas deployed and configured these tools to meet Touchstones’s unique requirements. We have configured firewalls,set up ongoing vulnerability scanning and shrunk the overall attack surface. With 24x7x365 monitoring handled by our Farnborough-based team of cyber security specialists this gives peace of mind to the team, allowing their internal teams to focus on business critical IT initiatives.
The Outcome
Since set-up, Mondas have successfully prevented a number of breaches, most notably a fake MFA request had a user on their network open a powershell command which required a prompt response to prevent exploitation.
